I just returned from a weekend fall foliage running camp held in Craftsbury, VT. http://www.craftsbury.com/running/camps/home.htmIt was really fun and beautiful. The Director of camp is Lynn Jennings. You can find out more about her by Googling Lynn Jennings – Wikipedia. I am honored to be in the same room with Lynn.
Camp started on Friday at 3:00PM and ended Sunday at noon. All three days were full of activities. Just to give you an idea of our days, below was our agenda for Saturday.
6:45AM – Hills and Fartlek Clinic
8:00AM – Breakfast
8:45AM – Hike Mt. Elmore, Climb fire tower
12:00noon – Lunch
1:30PM – Harvest Farm Tour, Pete’s Greens in the Village
4:00PM – Trip to Hill Farmstead Brewery with stop at Village General Store
6:15PM – Wine and cheese with the scullers
7:00PM – Dinner
I attended camp in July, 2011 for a week. The week camp was also very organized and full of opportunities to learn about the sport we love. We usually had two workouts a day with one or two classroom lectures.
When I am training under Lynn, I listen intently to her trying to pick up every thought/detail/suggestion that she has so that I can pay it forward to our Women Can Run/Walk Clinic.
I would recommend camp strongly because I absolutely love it!!! It is a fun vacation.
